The Tata Harrier EV is the much-awaited all-electric version of the brand’s popular premium SUV. It carries forward the Harrier’s bold and muscular silhouette but gets distinct EV design updates like a closed-off grille, full-width LED light bar, aero-optimized alloy wheels, and new dual-tone color schemes. The futuristic touches give it a commanding road presence while reducing drag for improved efficiency.
Long Range with Dual-Motor AWD Setup
Built on Tata’s Gen 2 EV architecture (Sigma platform), the Harrier EV is expected to offer both single-motor FWD and dual-motor AWD variants. The EV will likely house a battery pack in the range of 60–70 kWh, offering a real-world range of 450–500 km on a single charge. The dual-motor setup could deliver power outputs above 200 PS, ensuring powerful off-road and highway performance.
Fast Charging & Regenerative Braking
The Harrier EV will support DC fast charging (up to 150 kW), allowing 0–80% charge in under 40 minutes, along with V2L (vehicle-to-load) capability to power external devices. It will also include multiple levels of regenerative braking, further improving range and efficiency in city driving.
Premium Interior with Smart Features
Inside, the Harrier EV will offer a luxurious and tech-packed cabin featuring a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital driver display, panoramic sunroof, touch-based HVAC controls, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, and JBL audio system. Tata’s new Arcade.ev suite will allow access to OTT apps, gaming, and more on the go.
Advanced Safety & ADAS Suite
Safety remains a top priority with 6 airbags, 360° camera, electronic stability control (ESC), and Level 2 ADAS features including lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, auto emergency braking, and more. A 5-star Global NCAP rating is expected, continuing Tata’s strong safety reputation.
Tata Harrier EV Price in India & Launch Timeline
The Tata Harrier EV is expected to launch in early 2025, with prices likely ranging from ₹27 lakh to ₹32 lakh (ex-showroom) depending on battery size and drivetrain. It will compete with upcoming models like the Mahindra XUV.e8, MG ZS EV facelift, and Hyundai Creta EV. The Tata Harrier EV blends muscular SUV styling with electric efficiency, offering long range, fast charging, connected features, and a premium cabin all while staying true to Tata’s value-focused DNA. It’s built for urban families and long-distance adventurers who want to go green without compromising on style, space, or strength.
